WGCM is a nonprofit media platform devoted to uplifting Black arts and culture through positive, empowering content. As a program under the Pan African Center for Empowerment (PACE), WGCM aligns with PACE’s mission to connect the African diaspora “by our power rather than our pain”. The vision is to counter harmful stereotypes and “trauma porn” in media by showcasing music, stories, and discussions that foster community, celebrate creativity, and reinforce narratives of empowerment.

WGCM’s mission is to curate content that rejects racism, misogyny, and exploitation, instead centering on community-building, cultural integrity, and uplifting voices often unheard. This values-driven foundation will guide all programming and partnerships, ensuring WGCM remains anti-racist, non-exploitative, and grounded in PACE’s ethos of empowerment and positive change.
