Purpose & Ideology

Pan-African Center for Empowerment was founded to uplift people of African heritage in the U.S. and abroad. We are hacking the systems that oppress our communities and building human-centered and tech-powered solutions in their place.


Our work is rooted in these key pillars.

Reclaim our Narrative by Decolonizing our Language

Language that oppresses, oversimplifies, and marginalizes the Pan-African community has been baked into mainstream vernacular. In order to correct the commonly-accepted narrative of people of African heritage, we commit to mindfully removing Euro-centric language from the way we self-identify and relate to one another.
